Primary School Activity Booklet

Commissioned by Moster 2024, the IKO Ecclesiastical Pedagogical Centre has developed an activity booklet with proposals for teaching programmes about the millennium, Norwegian cultural heritage and Christian justice for the historical and social development of the Noreg. The scheme is primarily aimed at teachers at the middle stage, but will be easily adaptable to other age levels.

The activity booklet is a resource bank consisting of a pdf with short overview texts, illustrations, proposals for teaching programs with various activities and assignments and links to digital resources. Finally, they find a proposal for a cross-church cooperative development of Skåre local parish, which can also be adapted locally.

The booklet can be easily distributed digitally to schools and teachers, but can also be printed as a physical booklet. The booklet is designed with interdisciplinary interaction in mind, and contains materials and activities that can be adapted and used within the subjects Norwegian, KRLE, social studies, mathematics, science, physical education, food and health, English and music. Under the heading of each activity, it is indicated which subject the activity in question belongs to.

The material is academic and pedagogically rooted and developed by professionals with expertise in middle age, history, social studies, Norwegian, religion and ethics (KRLE) as well as pedagogics/didactics for elementary school. The booklet consists of both digital and analog resources for use in classrooms/at school and outside. The resource bank includes a combination of activities that can be carried out individually, classroom activities that can be carried out in the same class as well as group work and project-based programs.

The activity booklet contains illustrations from Egil Nyhus and the anniversary book “Moster iz da thing”

The project is in collaboration with IKO — Publishers and Ecclesiastical Pedagogical Centre
